Replastering
Damp causes unsightly damage to existing internal decorations and so Bristol Damp Solution will remove effected plastering, treat the effected area and renew the area
In most cases the contamination of the plaster with hydroscopic salts will mean the plaster will need to be renewed using salt retardant mixes will need to be applied to prevent residual salt but allow the passage of water vapour
Replastering will normally be carried out as part of remedial damp proofing using a moisture preventative mix
Causes vary from failure of existing damp proof course, condensation and in older building a lack of damp proofing course at all.
